Management Monday 12-15-25

Good afternoon, everyone!

Sorry for the late post, but to say the least, it has been a Monday!! :)

Here is my question to all you leaders,

How visible is too visible?

As a perioperative leader, how do you balance being present without micromanaging?

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts and suggestions!

Wow, is there too much as too visible? It depends on how your staff see you. If you are perceived as micro-managing yes they may that it is too much. If you are perceived as assisting in what needs to be done it may perceived as appropriate. Staff do like to see leaders. Being visible may show you care, but also being approachable and receptive when visible will definitely show you care about the struggles your staff have.

Well said, Kenny!
I agree that it’s less about being visible and more about how we show up and how approachable we are! When visibility is supportive and approachable, it builds trust; when it feels like micromanagement, it can do the opposite.
