Management Monday

Happy Monday!!
I can't be the only one, but time is flying by. We will be at the end of the year before we know it! And one step closer to EXPO2026! :)))
Here is the question to hopefully spark some discussion this week!
How do we encourage lifelong learning and professional growth for our perioperative team members?
I would love to hear everyone's thoughts and suggestions.

I encourage membership in ones specialty organization, to be active and to attend meetings. You cannot help but learn just by participating. I also encourage certification. Lastly I encourage others to find what they are really passionate about in their professional roles and be an active participant in that area. An example if you have a passion for politics be involved with legislative activities.
Agree. I believe implementing clinical ladders that require certifications and involvement helps some. This is a question that I have pondered for some time now. ... as personally I can't imagine being a nurse or really any profession and not wanting to stay current and the best at that profession I can be. Also, with our younger generations valuing more work life balance, etc. I believe as leaders we are going to have to be creative and include continued education as a Constant in the work schedule... without it being "extra" hours. Anybody know how to do that and continue to meet productivity?
